My experience of ambitious and well positioned individuals in such settings is that they judge you first by your bank balance and only afterward may deem to give a head tilt to your cultural heritage and complexity. They are also, almost universally always horribly lacking in imagination, however well read or educated they are. So I am interested in understanding further just how they are interpreting the term transcendent in their mission statement. Is this just yet another pseudo-Masonic network of wealthy folk who want to throw their personal weight around ?
