Department of State Begins Risk-Limiting Audit of 2024 General Election
November 18, 2024
Harrisburg, PA – The Department of State began Pennsylvania's statewide risk-limiting audit (RLA)1, this one for the Nov. 5, 2024, presidential election.
"Risk-limiting audits are the highest standard of comprehensive election audits, not just here in Pennsylvania, but across the country," Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt said. "The RLA process provides a statistically sound, scientific method for confirming that the reported outcome of the election is accurate."
Ten Department employees took turns rolling 10-sided dice this morning to generate a 20-digit "seed number," which is used to randomly determine which batches of ballots counties will audit over the next several days.Watch the 2024 risk-limiting audit dice roll.

I said, 'Listen, give the guy some time. He doesn't know who we are, but his values resonate with our community.'"
“In 2022, records, video camera footage, and deposition testimony produced in a civil case in Georgia disclosed that its voting system, used statewide, had been breached over multiple days by operatives hired by attorneys for Donald Trump.”

If you pledged your vote to Trump in some way or another, perhaps you joined the RNC’s “Swamp the Vote” program, or accepted a payment for entering your voter registration address and name into an Elon Musk registration drive, or posted support for Trump online somewhere visible, etcetera—but in reality you had a moment of sanity and voted for Vice President Harris, *sigh*, then Elon-Trump in all likelihood already knows or will soon have access to the data needed to know that you flipped your pledge to a vote for his declared enemy;

A risk-limiting audit (RLA) checks a random sample of voter-verifiable paper ballots, giving strong evidence to support the reported election results (or triggering a recount).

Is this something this state always does routinely or is this due to some issue ?
Good! I’ve been reading you and Stephen Spoonamore for a week or so and I’m very happy this audit is happening!
